It is that time of the year when you want to clear up your storage, clean up the premises and tidy up the place before the summer season arrives. When spring comes around it feels like you get a new beginning and you want to bring this freshness into your restaurant. To get a really good clean, here is a list of cleaning equipment that could help you along your spring cleaning way.

• Broom. This is an obvious one and everyone generally has at least one broom for sweeping the floor. You especially want to get all the dirt out of the corners.
• Vacuum Cleaner. If you can’t reach the dirt in the corners you can use a vacuum cleaner. A vacuum cleaner is not only used for carpets, it is also very handy for those tricky corners. Use it to vacuum dust and spider webs from the ceiling corners and behind cupboards too. You want to get a thorough cleaning done.
• Mop Bucket and Mop. Once all the dust and dirt is swept away, you will need to wash the floor. Using a mop and mop bucket will make this task easier. A mop bucket usually has a mop wringer which allows you to spin the excess water out of the mop. Then you can wash the floor better without too much water. This will also allow the floor to get dry much quicker. Remember to get a Wet Floor ‘A’ Frame Sign for safety purposes.
• Refuse Bins. If you already have refuse bins, empty them and give them a good clean. Wash them out with an anti-bacterial detergent to get rid of the dirt as well as the germs. If your refuse bins are old or damaged, it might be a good idea to get new ones.
• Glass Scraper. This underestimated kitchen cleaning equipment makes light work of window cleaning. After washing the windows use the glass scraper to wipe the water off the glass and leave it streak free. Using a cloth is an option but it may leave streaks or it could take a bit of elbow grease to remove all the streaks.
• Dishwasher. This is probably everyone’s favourite cleaning equipment because it washes the dishes all on its own. It takes the hard work out of your hands and allows you to tend to something else around the kitchen. Another variation of this cleaning equipment is the glass washer which is dedicated to simply washing the glasses. Having a glass washer also allows you to wash glasses in one unit while washing cutlery and crockery in another unit simultaneously. This is the ultimate in cleaning efficiency.
